26" LCD TV - Options with a Criteria

I'm looking for a 26" LCD TV. 1080p. Picture and sound quality can be good, I'm not actually looking for the best picture available..
I only discovered 4k and curved TV's this week.

Criteria! I want the actual set to be attractive, maybe a nice colour with sleek design, I think one that caught my eye was a LG LU5000, but, that wasn't readily available (which I need it to be) and that's just an idea of something that doesn't just look black and boring.

I don't like white TV's. I've been looking on and off all week, and I'm still no further into finding anything.

Not interested in a smart tv, I'd be paying for tech that doesn't really interest me enough right now, although, I found some of the sets rather appealing to look at - but, may be out of my price range also along with tech I wont use.

I don't have a set budget, just a half decent available set that doesn't look boring when not in use.

Console that will be running on it - Wii U.

    Maybe look at PC monitors?

Yeah, you won't need a TV licence if you don't already have one.

Thanks speedy, I should of said, i'll want to watch the world cup on the set....
I just ideally want something not too ordinary, but, if anyone can give me recommendations on sets, I'd certainly look into them

I've got a Sony KDL-26EX553 for sale. Fully boxed as new. Freeview HD, 1080p in for consoles etc. It's the rarer black one.

If space is tight, this Sony could be a perfect fit, but it's pricey

You don't need a TV license if you're using a TV as a monitor (in other words, antenna disconnected). They confirmed this to me via phone several times.
