Screen video capture tool

Currently, what's the best capture tool for Windows systems? Researches point out ot either Fraps or Camtasia.
The program I'm looking for should be able to record in AVI/MP4 (not heavily compressed) and through an external mic. No editing capabilties needed, I've already covered that.

i like fraps but it is uncompressed though i recorded a skull girls video at 60fps at just over three min its over 4gb but then i copy it into vegas pro to reduced file size have to reduced it quite a bit as my upload speeds are terrible

Only problem i had is some doujin games will not record
