few questions PC upgrade/elgato video capture/monitor/camera for youtube videos

Firstly i wanted to know if anyone has went from a amd to a intel and if there was any improvements (with the newer z97 series ideally)

I am thinking of getting a elgato video capture to record games but my pc and consoles are far apart and i wondered if that would cause any problems ?

My monitor packed in so thinking of getting a new one but i am really sensitive to micros stuttering and screen tearing. Some people have said 144hz monitor may help but thinking i wonder if i should just wait for the adaptive sync monitors released later this year (i cannot use g-sync as my graphics card is AMD)

Lastly i have been using my galaxy s4 to make youtube videos for me and the other half but since in november i will have a lot more free time i think i want to make better videos so if anyone has got suggestions for cameras/lighting or anything else i would need (ideally without breaking the bank)

    cheers

If using HDMI, no. Even with analog cables, unless you're speaking of hundreds of metres with low quality cables. Are you getting the new one, that goes up to 1080p60?

Low-power strobe kits (two lights, tripods, maybe a couple of diffusers) aren't particularly expensive, but they will not deliver continuous light, they are sinched to a camera's flash light or via controller (to be inserted on te camera's hot shoe). Continuous lights, on the other hand can be quite expensive: I have a Lastolite kit (2x 5200k lights, tripods) and paid around 400€ couple of years ago.

cheers think i would get the newer elgato (though my broadband is to slow to upload 1080p) but will be future proof

The wife was looking at lights but i think will see about the camera first and then go from there

You would have to get HDMI leads that meet the length you need, as one goes from the console to the Elgato the other from the Elgato to the TV you want to play on. The Elgato has to be near the PC to link to it via USB, it has a preview window on the PC but this has like a 5 - 10 second delay so you need to play games via your TV not the PC.

Don't think HDMI picture is effected by the cable length that much if at all.
