    Dodgy composite input issue

I've got a Phillips cm8833 mkii computer monitor, I can't test the rgb input until leads arrive but there is an issue with the composite input - plugging leads straight in the picture is a mess, add sound and there is a loud distorted noise. If I push up on the composite cable and hold it there the picture is fine, as is the sound.

What would this denote, I need to open it up for a good clean - maybe some of the solder has gone whack?

    Cheers

May well be a cold or broken joint (given that giving it a push eradicates the issue). RGB input might be fine though.

That's very odd that adding sound makes it worse, given that that's on a different cable.

It's not that it gets worse persay, but when I connect the sound you here a gnnnnnnnnnnnnn of the composite connection being bad, until I lift it up.
