Oh, just buy whatever your motherboard supports. Quad channel would be 4 physical sticks though I think.

Either is absolutely fine.

The entry level 2011 cpu is ?300, but I will any game over the next few years truly utilise this?

Also, the midi towers I'm looking at are waaaaaaaaay different to mine. Like they are so wide now what's going on?

Routing wires behind the motherboard is cool.

I got a Corsair 200R for very cheap and it's a great case. There are tons of awesome cases for under ?50 now or about that.

For gaming I'd say stick to 1150 socket.
