I bought a BVM last week, when i got it home and turned it on, the screen was emitting a loud buzzing noise, this is happening with no av cables plugged in so i know it's not a problem with the source. It wasn't happening when i bought it as the person i got it from had it on when i went over to collect.
Started using it, with my headphones on so i couldn't hear the buzzing, and after an hour or so i noticed that there was a slight white ripple on the left hand side of the screen, this got bigger until it was covering nearly a third of the monitor. The ripple is now permanently there, it's less pronounced on some channels but it's definitely there. The picture itself is perfect, the problem is like a white rippling overay
Has anyone had this on another CRT monitor/TV before? Any idea if the monitor has had it or if it's fixable? A local electronics firm said they'd have a look at it for me, but if it's a no hoper then there's no point. The screen has over 80000 hours on it but i've read that it should be able to do quite a bit more than this.
