    Best (budget) PS3 Bluetooth Headset?

I've never used my PS3 for any social gaming before but am hoping to join in with some Destiny Raids at some point soon, so will be needing a bluetooth headset. I know this question has been asked before, but the threads are pretty old so wanted to double check what the current best options are. Ideally I want something in the style of the official Sony model that comes with a small USB charging dock:

Am on a very tight budget at the moment, so the cheaper the better!

I have that one. I'll get a price for you if you're interested in a used one. Barely used to be honest.

I always found them a pain to be honest, i tried multiple bluetooth headsets like this including the official one and they always fell out of my ear and had bad sound, uncomfortable and poor for voice chat. a cheap over the head plug in headset is always Gonna be better, I got some turtle beach px3's from zavvi and they sound great and are wireless

these are wired but have great reviews and you cant go wrong for ?25

I've been tempted by the camo one to match my controller for a while.

Thanks for the offer Brad - I'll let you know. Thinking about it, I think I would prefer something like the original 360 headset - something with just 1 earpiece, but with a strap that goes over the top of the head for better support. Also, thanks for the link Lebowski, but ?25 is way over my limited budget at the moment!

Cheers, I think I'll go for this one seeing as it's officially licensed, and Sony don't seem to have produced their own headset in this style, and it has a long USB cable. I prefer to have things plugged in all the time instead of messing about with chargers/batteries.

Those Turtle Beach Ear Force P11s - does the game and chat audio go through the PS3 USB connection, or do you have to connect the 3.5mm cable from the headphones to an amp/TV to get the game audio?

Which mic did you go for in the end bcass? After last night's Raid, I think I might get one even if it's only to tell people to stop talking and start shooting the Vex.

Haha. I went for the Turtle Beach Ear Force P11s. The sound quality is excellent, even for the game audio. However, unless you have really small ears, you might find them uncomfortable because the foam padding that surrounds your ears is quite small and thick. For me, they can become irritating after prolonged use and I have to move them about a bit to find a more comfortable position. You need to connect the PS3 composite cable to the headset cable if you want to hear game audio through them.

                      Weren't you on a budget?

I always listen to games via the TV speakers so I only really want a mic to just be able to speak to the other players and hear their voice chat, I don't suppose the PS3 works with a standard USB mic?.

I was, the purchase was a moment of madness.
