Has anyone here bought one?

I'm about to pull the trigger on a purchase but wanted some feedback before I blow 350 dollars.

It seems too intriguing to pass up the chance to try.

I've not bought one but have tried one and keep up to date with the OR forums, so have become quite knowledgable.

I really did consdier it, would be ?276 delivered here to the UK (inc tax and shipping etc). Ultimately decided to wait until the consumer version next year. To be honest you could probably sell it on for what it costs you if you don't like it.

You will need a really decent GPU etc to get maximum out of it resolution/fps wise.

I ordered it today so probably if I'm lucky get it sometime November. I just watched this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZUK0PkFlZM . The guy presenting it is a douche but watching that VR experience is seriously impressive.

I actually just bought some new PC hardware gtx 970 with an SLI board. Hoping that should be enough for now.

Good stuff. Last time I looked delivery was about 8 weeks from order.
Remember your PC upgrade you should be fine. It prefers Nvidia over AMD cards it seems.
Loads of videos on YouTube. Firstdayreviews are good for a lot of demo and game reviews.

Looks like I'm in luck. Just 6 days from ordering and it's about to be shipped. So much for the 6 to 8 weeks wait!

Yeah I've been reading. I must have lucked out with a batch for Asia departing just as I place an order.

Got my DK2 yesterday. After a lot of fiddling working out the best lens setup for my eyes and face I finally found some good demos to try and it kind of works well I think.

Yeah tried Half life 2, Assetto Corsa to name a couple.

Seeing those flying camera bots as you get off the train in HL2 up close is jaw dropping in VR. They have moving parts I never knew they had. It has to be seen to be believed.

Assetto Corsa again, you can see the dials, wheel, passenger seats in amazing detail as you look around. It's going to be a game changer.

Think everyone that plays a few optimised games on it says it's a game changer. Surely Oculus will announce the consumer version soon, fingers crossed it may still be out around April/May time.
