    Apple mail signature question...

    Apple OSX mail doesn't exactly offer nice easy options for creating signatures (oddly, other programmes don't seem to either when signatures are standard). I've got a signature in Apple Mail with an image and the way I got it to work was to copy it from a gmail signature that was easy to set up.

    It works but I've realised that Apple Mail basically saves the image and mails it out every single time rather than just calling it from where the image is on the web.

    So is there a way I can get it just to call it from the web so it isn't bulking up mail sizes or being misread as an attachment and so that I can replace the image without needing to amend the signature?

    Does it let you use html? Or is it plain text only emails?

      Pretty certain it lets me use html but you'd barely know looking at it. It just presents me with a text box but copying and pasting from Gmail signatures seems to work and I can't help thinking that has to be copying html code. I just don't know html! I find it bizarre it doesn't have a basic signature editor where you can just click on your image and tell it to pull it from a specific URL.

      Does my solution lie with html then?

        Try writing:
        Code:
        <img src="http://www.WhereMyPicIs.com/MyPicName.jpg">
