    Viable Saturn USB converters?

Has anyone ever used a Saturn pad USB adaptor?

I've been thinking of getting one since I got that deal for all the Sega Classics games on Steam earlier in the year. The Saturn pad is an ideal Megadrive pad, really; the Japanese-style ones are essentially like the MD 6-button controllers but with extra shoulder buttons anyway.

Shame you didn't look into this sooner. Those Play Sega ones are **** but SLS (Sega) USB Saturn pads (NOS) used to be plentiful on eBay. Felt just as good as an real Saturn pad. All the ones on eBay now are cheap copies. Someone here might have one kicking around though, hard to say.

I've used the "3 in 1 PC Joy box" adapter for ages. Works perfectly with regular saturn controllers + win7/ 8, no detectable lag or any other problems* compared to a xbox 360 pad.
The one I've got is out of print, but I'm sure Mayflash's other Saturn adaptor is fine.

*I needed to use x360ce for the recent PC port of Ikaruga - before the devs patched in non-xbox pad support. That's about the only kind of issue you might run into.
