mame advice (not rom request)

just discovered the joy that is mame on my pc.
Advice I`m looking for is to hook up an old DC stick to my laptop, do i need to mod it or can i use an adapter if such a thing is about?

Play-Asia sell the MagicBox which allows you to connect Dreamcast,PS1.PS2 or Saturn pads to a PC via USB.

Might be best to check with them that a Stick would work without a problem, as some converters do not work with all the available pads and sticks.

It does, and it's ****ing ace! The one in the link above doesn't support all 6 buttons on the DC stick though. I got this one from ConsolePlus:

That one does support all 6 buttons, and its bloody brilliant, perfect for Capcom beat'em ups!

I own the one linked to at ConsolePlus as well, and it works perfectly with all seven buttons (I've got the start configured as my 1p start as well) for me. Their Joybox 13 Gamecube one works with all the buttons on my GC Soul Calibur II stick as well.
