    Xenogears Greatest Hits

Previously, Square Enix announced that it would release a series of Greatest Hits games. Now, these 4 RPGs are available in retail stores for $19.99 each. The titles are: Final Fantasy Anthology, Final Fantasy Chronicles, Vagrant Story, and Xenogears. If you have not had a chance to play these PlayStation games, now would be a wonderful opportunity.
Does anyone seen Xenogears on sale at this price online? I can't find it in any store, and would like to import it

There's a few on eBay. I was quite surprised to see it being re-released, after what, 6 years since its original release. I might pick up FF Chronicles . I *think* they've only just been released, so I'd expect US online retailers are only just starting to receive stock.

The only downside to Greatest Hits releases are the horrible green bar along the side of the case and the non-original art work on the discs, just plain silver like PAL Platinum releases. But I'm sure the price justifies these niggles .

Don't buy the Chrono Trigger one m8, play it on your pc via emu instead.

Chrono Trigger on the PSX has horrible load times ( up to 30 secs when accessing the menu)

Yeah the SNES games are running on emus and Chrono Trigger is quite poorly optimized. Loading times aren't as bad as lem makes out but still taking 10-15 seconds to access the menu is not on. Still for $20 I suppose you can't complain.

This seems to happen alot with conversions from the Snes to the Playstation. Obviously, this is down to the fact that the originals were cartridge-based and had virtually no loading times. Anyway, it's not a bad price for a game that was originally going for around ?35-40.

I wonder if FF Anthology still includes the music CD which accompanied the original release..

              I doubt it very much.

It's well worth tracking down a copy of that CD jsut for track 14. Track 14 is the world map music from FFVI. It is the best tune ever!

I prefer the orchestral version of it, which is track 1 on Grand Finale.

Anyone found a online retailer selling Xenogears GH already?

I've found some USA stores but I don't think they ship to Europe, and even if they would, the shipping fee would be more than Xenogears itself.

                      Here you go fellas

They only ship via EMS, so FFC and XG would cost about ?50 in all including EMS Shipping.

The only method of payment for International Customers is PayPal, which has to be verified, dunno why though.

There's really nothing wrong with VGD, they just don't give a damn about overseas costumers. Try TheRage.com, TronixWeb.com or eBay and give it a search for anything that'll be sent to Britain.,

Yer, Tronix or therage would be the best bet, but neither of these are doing the "Greatest Hits" selection atm.

So I've learned, but then I'd have chosen eBay anyway
