PS4 Link - better on Vita or Experia

    Hi All

Seen as o2 Priority have a reasonable deal on the new X3 compact tablet I'm considering getting one for remote play. Other than the obvious advantage of using the DS4 - are there any other major differences against using a launch model Vita?

Specifically is it better for use outside of the house than the Vita (which I can't for the life of me get to work). Any advice, comparisons or thoughts welcome!

This is to play PS4 games away from home (like at lunch break)?

Don't think your going to have a favourable experience. You need about 5mbps for remote play.

Even on my home network (wired ethernet over powerline to PS TV) there is lag of about 110 milliseconds (which doesn't bother me for single player action games) but over the internet, where broadband is asymmetric (upload bandwidth much lower) even if you have enough bandwidth, the latency due to increased hops is surely going to impact the experience.

I've tried the ps vita away form home and its ok, managed quite a bit of destiny but got destroyed in the Crucible thanks to the sticks and the latency, it seems the remote play software is identical on the phone, which piqued my interest in it quite a bit, i certainly would choose having a real duel shock to play with over the poor vita sticks.

Yeah that's exactly what I'm trying to get working. I opened port 9056 on my router last night and still can't get anything going. It works great at home on the same network but just can't get it running in the office. It won't even connect to the PS4.

Think I might have to give up. Thanks for the responses though.
