just got a snes, what games do i get?

hi, i was in town today when i walked past gamesstations window, and in the window was a snes with 16 games and 2 pads for ?40 so i walked in a brought it without thinking what the games were, did i want it and was it a good price , so anyway could you tell me some good games to buy and where to get brand new controllers from.

Not a bad price mate but depends on what games you got with the pack.

Anyway you must know most of the classics Mario,Donkey Kong, Zelda,S treet fighter II
but its a great system for any genre especially Rpg's.

Oh and about the pads the only place i know where you could buy brand new Snes pads is in Shinjuku and Akihabara.

Platform - Mario Allstars, Mario World, Super Ghouls n Ghosts (hardest game ever made btw ), Super CastleVania 4, Megaman X 1-3, Contra 3/Super Probotector, Super Turrican 2, Donkey Kong Country, Super Metroid, Yoshi's Island

Adventure/RPG - Zelda, ChronoTrigger, Final Fantasy 2&3, Legend of the Mystical Ninja, Terranigma, Mario RPG, Secret of Mana, Earthbound

Sport - Sensible Soccer, Super Tennis

Racing - Super Mariokart, F-zero, Stunt Race FX (this has aged real bad), Uni Racer

Watch out though as Jap pads will not work on a PAL SNES.

And you can find em easy if you look around car boot sales too.

i was looking at getting a ntsc snes from playasia but i just carried away when i saw this snes sat in gamestations window .

Skyblazer (which I mentioned earlier ) is a pretty good platformer with lots of variety in the level design.

Joe & Mac is an average platformer. I can't remember anything particularly special about the game apart from the simultaneous 2-player co-op mode.

Addams Family is yet another platformer. I remember it being decent, but unoriginal and rather fiddly to control (although I did persevere and finish it).

Most of the games you have there are above average. I enjoyed the Addams family game when I played it many years ago. There is enough games there to be getting on with though. Although you do HAVE to get Super Mario Kart. It is perfection in a cartridge.
