can GBA screens be replaced?

My Boktai GBA has a smashed screen (not the outer one, but the one underneath) is there any way it can be fixed?

I remember from my time in retail (about 1.5 years ago) that Nintendo offered a replacement service for the GBA plastic cover of its actual screen. The cost was about 30-40$ I guess. I assume they're offering that for the GBA SP as well. We never had a customer with a broken screen though. Ask your local shop if they can send yours in and whether the cost for that kind of repair would be reasonable.
