Newsgroups (and Grab It)

Downloaded Grab It. Can anyone help me set it up?

I had it sorted fine when I was on BT (news.btopenworld.com) but can't set it up now I'm with Wanadoo.

Where can I check my news server id? (I thought it would be news.wanadoo.com or news.wanadoo.fr but neither work ft: ) and the id and password it asks for, is that the same as my dial up details or is the news server different?

I've tried the servers news.wanadoo.com and news.wanadoo.fr with dial up id and pass but it simply opens up into Grab It and does nothing Its meant to do a full group update or something but seems to be doing nowt.

And I can't ring Wanadoo as I'm in France with a french service

Any guidence appreciated.

Try news.wannadoo.fr but without specifying a username/password. That's what this seems to indicate:

You can try setting up Outlook Express first using the screenshots above, and when you get that to work try your own newsreader.

Sometimes the authentication is done by IP (i.e. it recognizes from your IP address that you are a wannadoo user, and doesn't need a username/password).

Thanks for the reply. I tried that just now but no luck. It just goes to main screen and appears to be doing nothing And the link just takes me to a callender (?)

I'll just have to forget it for now.
