Wii U flashing blue light

Got a second hand Wii U 8gb about 6 months ago & all of a sudden it no longer outputs a picture & there is a blue light flashing on the console.

I have tried different connections & even a different power supply but to no avail. Has anyone experienced this before & how was it fixed?
