    4k Graphics Card assistance.

Hello, I have recently bought a shiny new 4K compatible TV set. However my graphics card (Nvidia GTX 550ti can't display any images that high. When plugged into my TV max resolution available is 1080. So now I would like to swap out my card for one that can display 4K. I don't game on my PC so it just needs to stream, display videos.

What is my cheapest bestest option. I think from doing some basic research it needs to be a card with HDMI version 2.0 with support for 60 Hz refresh rate at 4k resolution. Maybe a GTX 750ti?

As you can tell I am not that good with graphic card tech!

Does the GPU not have DisplayPort?

What do you actually want to do at 4k?

Probably just wants a basic display adapter by the sound of it.

I'd definitely invest in a GTX 750ti if I was powering a 4k display. It has an extremely low power draw (under 65w at load) and doesn't even need any extra juice from the PSU.

Well these are all good questions. On further research, I don't think my internet connection is fast enough to stream Netflix at 4K. I only wanted to try out the new shiny so for now have downloaded some demo movies onto a USB stick and the TV just plays them natively.

Its nice. But thats it. There isn't much content out there yet. Guess I will just be happy with the curve. At least thats new.
