White New 3DS Faceplates?

I am currently living in the states and they have only recently just got the smaller New 3DS but it was only available in a bundle with Animal Crossing faceplates, admittedly they're very cute but I would like the option of having a vanilla console. I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get the official white face plates from?

You can't, or at least you couldn't the last time I checked a month or two ago (I wanted to buy plain ones to paint them). It's a bit ****.
