Super Famicom power supply

Hi dudes, what's the deal with powering a super famicom in the UK? Other than using a step down converter, can you just use a psu suitable for a pal snes?

Yush, been using the one I repaired after it arrived with a dodgy cable for everything since. PC Engine too!

I use a Mega Drive power supply. It's what people tend to recommend.
