    TVs N' Soundbars

    So I'm looking to get a new 1080p tv, around 40" with a budget of ?300. Are certain brands much better than others or is that just a hype? A friend of mine told me to stick to sony/panasonic/lg/samsung. He also said the soundbar should be the same brand.

    Any experience with this? Your advice is appreciated.

    I wouldn't restrict yourself to the same brand, I've got a feeling many of the tv manufacturer's offerings are pretty poor

      What about tvs? I've been told that sony are the best, especially for gaming.

        Sony W8 is the current favourite for gaming.
