After he bought them of course.

Dave's list reminds me: Trauma Team is a brilliant game and one of my favourites on Wii - a very enjoyable mix of visual novel and dexterity based surgery minigames. The best in the Trauma series for me, and probably the only 2 player visual novel type game I've played.

This thread has also reminded me that there are still a few bits on Wii I'd like to pick up, A Boy And His Blob amongst them - I love Wayforward's stuff usually.

It's a great concept and I enjoyed playing it, but I wish I had played it for OCD kudos the first time around. By the time I'd finished playing it through and completed every single level first time (there's absolutely no challenge), I didn't have the will to play through again for the extra challenges.

I guess I just prefer games that are a bit harder.

If TvC was on any other console it would be totally ignored. Rubbish Marvel clone, avoid.

Knew I wouldn't be the only one using this thread as a shopping list

Will try and have a rifle through what I've got later on and see if there's anything I can add, but plenty of really solid lists being shared here.

This is US/JPN exclusive, right? I have heard nothing but love for it; a really bizarre omission from the UK release list.

It already is totally ignored, until people actually get talking specifically about the Wii's library. I personally quite like it, and on the contrary think that if it was on any other system, that it'd have been far more popular (but likely still overlooked by many).

That's right fuse - the English language version is a US exclusive. Agreed that it's an odd omission, a great game that's well worth a play.

Another great Wii game that I've mentioned before (and often gets overlooked) is You Don't Know Jack. Brilliant party game that is again a US-only release. To some extent it's superceded but newer versions of the game on PS4 etc, but their smartphone-based multiplayer controls are far less responsive than the Wiimotes, and can lead to frustration. A very solid 73 'episodes' means it has a ton of content too - but make sure you have at least 1 friend to play with.

Fortune Street and You Don't Know Jack with 4 Wiimotes is a great games night

I have YDKJ on the 360; believe it's the same version as the Wii and would agree on that one - it's great fun. Would imagine PS3 is the version of choice for most given the region-free aspect of it, but number of controllers might also factor into it.

A few of the levels had me scratching my head, but yeah it's not an overly taxing game. Although in saying that it's about the same difficulty as everything else really. I like games that take different angles on each and every stage. There's only this and SM3DW that have done that in recent memory.

The soundtrack too!

The visuals too - very distinctive, living structures.

Strange. I completed a fair few Wii games but only recall TP, Smash Bros, Mario Galaxy, and the resi 4 port.

Thanks everyone, there's a bunch of stuff here I might check out. I've snipped out the titles I'm interested in from your posts (as many of you either mentioned duplicates, or the obviousl dozen or so Nintendo first-party titles):

Dragon Quest Swords )Lots of fun this).
Lost in Shadow.
Question, is Dragon Quest Swords a full Wii version of that plastic-sword TV game? As I had that briefly when I lived in Japan. It was great fun; I'll definitely pick this up.

I actually have Excite Truck but have never got around to playing it. Also, is Jambo Safari based on the arcade game? As I've played that before and it's superb daft fun.

I've seen these come up in a few places - are they really that good?

Endless Ocean 2
Sonic Colors
I have Battalion Wars 1 for the Cube, but it's on my "to play" pile.

Also Endless Ocean? Are these particularly good?

I've heard pretty decent things about Sonic Colors. Certainly the Colors level in Sonic Generations was decent, so I might check this out soon.

If I could add one recommendation for people, it'd be:

Mario & Sonic at the Winter Olympic Games

However, make sure you get the Wii game, not the WiiU one. The WiiU game is far narrower in scope; in particular it doesn't support the Wii balance board, and that's one of the previous game's best features.

All of the games I listed are alright. Perfectly legit if comprising a top 50.

Endless Ocean is quite a nice relax'em up. It was well favoured here by the few who played it anyway.

How are we going to build this top 50 then? We should make it a feature for the site.
