European Mega Drive 2 power supply compatible with Japanese MD 2

Quick double check but I understand a PAL MD2 power supply to work with a Japanese MD2?

I know the model 1 doesn't work with the MD2 and the other way round.

Just want to double check all the sites I visit say it will work and you won't need a step down. Thinking of finally getting a Japanese unit over arsing around with modding a PAL one.

Think that the MD2 uses a center positive connection, unlike the MD1 which is center negative. Should be the same connector as a PSone, PStwo and PC Engine Duo R too.

So to answer your question, yes it should work just fine.
