    New 3DS Screen Protector

    Hi all,

Have a pair of Hori ones for my old XL, but picked up one of the new consoles (regular not XL) and wondered if anyone could recommend any? As can't seem to find any decent ones online and think the screen is larger than the old models.

    Cheers

Don't bother with the Hori screen covers as they are crazy over priced. I use ones for my phone and my son's 3DS LL from the 100 yen shop. They are perfect. No air bubbles, they don't peel off and have blue light filter versions too. See if you can find the Daiso brand. Honestly, Daiso have some quality stuff unlike most of the crap you find in the UK Pound Land.

What are these? Are they better in sunlight or something?

They help with sun reflections but the real point is to eliminate the "harmful" blue rays from screens. Apparently blue light from LCD screens isn't too good for our eyes.

I'd love to see the research on that.

It's probably some marketing BS but you never know. It could be true

I think it may be someone (not you) misunderstanding research on colour affecting us, due to how we have evolved to associate blue skies with morning ("you must wake up!") and red skies with evening ("almost time for bed"). You notice how on long haul flights they change the colour of the lighting in the cabin to try and sync us with our destination.

They are supposed to reduce the light emitted by screens when playing in the dark. Apparently using your phone/tablet/handheld in the dark stops you for feeling tired, this is due to the light, hence the blue screen protectors. They cost about ?8 on eBay.
