If by rubber band you mean how cars behind you get a sudden boost in speed, I've not noticed it in this game. I'm about 2/3rds through the game.

NFS Underground is my favorite racing game I think. Its fun, there are thousands of ways to customize your car, and the graphics are awesome.

Do you not notice that no matter haw well you drive, and how many crashes they have that there still close behind you.

Do some experiments next time you play.


I don't see any point at having such customisable cars and not even having a replay option.

Nope, Infact I lapped an AI guy in a race the other night. Maybe its an option somewhere. I have noticed that the AI players never hit traffic when they are way ahead of you because the traffic is only spawned around the player. Also, if you are in the lead in a sprint race you are at a dissadvantage because you are the first to crash through "road closed" signs and gates etc, clearing the road for others.
