What exactly are PSOne Books?

Are they special releases of games that don't come with standard jewel cases?

They're just budget re-releases of popular games.

The game comes in a thin CD-single style case with a full manual which is separate from the case.

I'll see if I can post a picture of one tomorrow.

The only other PSOne Books releases I have are KoF97 and Rockman 1-6 which all have the same sort of packaging so I presume it's similar for most PSOne Books releases.

Thanks for that. I'm trying to get Metal Gear Solid, and everywhere is selling the book version. I actually quite like the packaging.
