I'm curious about this? Is it worth getting. I hear good things about the sphere grid. Anybody play it, have some feedback on it?

Most definitely.

Basically there is 2 kinds of sphere grid.
'Original' and 'International' version.
'Original', as you may have guessed is the standard FFX board.
With the 'International' board, the characters start off closer to each other near the centre. Basically you have more freedom to choose which path you want them to have e.g. Have Tidus go Yuna's route, or Auron to follow Wakka's route etc.

I still haven't finished it yet. Gave it up last August.
