Best DDR game and mat to buy?

As above, there are so many verions, which make for a very hard choice, also whats the best mat?

I know the metal one is good, but untill I get my my part time job, thats gonna have to wait...

Do you have a Chipped ps2 ??

Don't the DDR games have troubles with chipped machines? Certainly when I tried some of the PSone DDR games on my Messiahed PS2 the games do go out of sync.

Apparently Naiera has tried the PS2 games on a chipped console and got the same sync issues so I held off buying DDR Extreme. If someone can confirm otherwise then I'll put an order in ASAP.

Well im not sure, how obvious is the Sync issue ??

I Have a Pal chipped machine (messiah 2) and it runs Pal Dancing stage megamix fine, ive also played Jap DDRmax2 and US DDRmax with no noticablw sync probs.

Now im all confused

Legendary, I heard that the XBox DDR was a bit lame...

As far as DDR on a chipped machine goes, I thought it was down to which chip you were using...
Maybe you'd best ask Saur or someone?
