Plastic Logic 3 DDR mat - any good?

I saw one of these second hand at my local Gamestation at lunchtime for ?40 and was very tempted to snap it up.

Anybody have one? Are they actually an improvement over the soft mats?

See which version it is: If the mat has an external control box then it is version 1 and inferior to ver 2 which has its control box integrated into the actual side of the mat.\

ver 1 mats can be unreliable but but modifying it will make it almost fool proof. if you are interested in the mod I can dig out the web site link fo you.

if its a ver 2 mat I'd suggest you pick it up asap as its very reliable and at ?40 is a bargain.

It all depends on how good you are at DDR really. if you're going to be battering the mat with Max 300 daily then you'll need a stuirdy mat. if you are only really a level 4-5 foot player then you'll be fine.
