Any one using one of these on a pi?

    What’s the best version?

Im using the N30 arcade stick. I switched out the buttons and stick for sanwa. Works great.

Seems to depend on what build of RetroPie, Lakka etc. you are using. I use an 8bitdo Snes pad on latest Retropie on my Plasma build no issues, on a couple of my CRT builds it has issues so stick to wired.

Nice - do you notice any lag using the Bluetooth?

Correction Sanwa buttons but Seimitsu stick as it is a straight drop in.

Lag, nope but I never notice lag so it could be there.

I've got the 8Bitdo SN30 pro (although in the original PAL/Famicom SNES colour buttons scheme) with 8BitDo Wireless USB adapter.

I've now used this setup with both my RPi2 and RPI 3B+. With the newer RPi hardware you don't need the bluetooth adapter but I purchased both on seemingly good prices over the summer. At first they wouldn't work correctly but after I updated the firmware on the controller and the adapter to the latest they have worked fine. They are recognised as a Wireless 360 controller in Emulation Station/RetroPie. I personally like any of the SNES pads (so SN30 or SN30 Pro) but the analog sticks just give you more capability with games (i.e. steering in Chase HQ).
