    Gregory Horror Show 50/60hz

Anyone else playing this in 60hz?

on my copy the FMV skips when in 60hz mode, but is fine in 50hz i thought it was my PS2 to begin with so i put Initial D on to see if the FMV skipped and it was fine, then tried GHS in 50hz and it was fine.

So its either a Messiah 2 problem or the games just a bit knackered.

    Anyone else having this problem?

(it happens with new games so its not a 50hz to 60hz save problem

Just got this today, so haven't played it much but haven't noticed any problems with the FMV sequences in 60 hz (haven't even tried 50hz)

Well, let me guess....I know GHS is a DVD. ID is a CDROM, yeah....?
I'd put good money on the fact your PS2's laser is dying. It starts with DVDs then degenerates, and then even CDROMs don't work. This is the big issue with older model PS2s. Read errors: big PS2 fault, known about for years.

        Initial D is DVD.

As for GHS perhaps they just re-cut the movies for 50Hz playback.

As Yashiro says there both DVD's i would agree that it would be the laser but 2 things stick out 1) the PS2 is about 6 weeks old (V9) and secondly its always in the same place that it sticks.

im going to drop it into Game and see if i can try another copy.

Ah, right. Fair enough. Glad the console is ok.

I have no problems with the FMV in the game at all, though. Completely smooth.
