Usa version 4 ps2 worth chipping????

O.k i want to start playing jap games, as well as the usa games that i've got.

I've got a version 4 usa ps2 is it worth getting this chipped, or would it be better to sell it and get a chipped u.k ps2?

Will a version 4 be less reliable than say a ver 7 or 8, i want a machine that is rock solid.

Any suggestions??

you could get it chipped as i have a v4 machine and it has no problems but be best to get a premodded one from somewhere like www.londonconsole.com as the latest version consoles have better lens in the drives

You'd have trouble finding someone to chip a version 4, i did so i brought a new one.

Any idea what the machine is worth, it's had very little use and is boxed mint.
