PS2 Online

Been thinking of buying the Network adaptor for my PS2, but wondered is there a monthly/annual charge, or is ?25 for the adaptor all I need to spend?

Also what (decent) games support online functions?

Some games may need a monthly charge (MMORPGs such as Everquest for example). But currently it's the only one.

If I'm correct the most popular games right now are:
- SOCOM US Navy Seals
- Hardware: Online Arena
- Need for Speed Underground

But others like:
- SSX3
- XIII
- Amplitude
- Fifa 2004
- Twisted Metal Black Online
- and others...

Also support online functions. I guess you just need to find the type of game you like most.

also take into account if your adsl modem has ethernet connection, so you dont have to spend some more cash on a router

I've got my XBox connected, I assume it will just be a matter of whipping the cable out of the back and plugging it into my PS2??

Yes it will be a case of a quick cable exchange. Though if your used to Xbox live be prepared to be dissapointed with PS2 online. Its rubbish in comparison.

I get that impression too, I'm just interested in having a play around with it, especially if GT and PES get online support
