Need more info on a TV

My dad found a TV in tesco that is apparently ntsc compatible that i might buy, but beofre i do i wanna make sure it wil do everything i want it to.

    It's a bush and the model number is apparently 2137/8TSIL, it's a 21" TV

I've tried google and can't even find bush's site or any reference to this tv anywhere

    All help appreciated

If it has a scart socket than it would definetly be ntsc compatible, does it have scart? I use to work at comet and just about all new t.v's with scart can do ntsc. Bush isn't well known for reliability so make sure you keep your receipt. Also check tescos return policy just incase.

Sorry to be so blunt gunstar but thats bull**** having a scart socket does not and never has meant automatic ntsc "3:58" compatability.
At the risk of sounding a snob and upsetting Bush tv owners a Toshiba or Sony 21inch tv can be bought for next to nothing these days so why would anyone want to buy an inferior product ????

I forget the model number for my TV but it looks identical to that Toshiba TV and mine is 3.58 compatible and the picture quality is top notch.

No offence taken fuzzybee, is that the true ntsc signal thing your talking about and not that pal 60hz thing? Just saying that most modern T.Vs with scart(wired with all the pins) accept true 60hz options from games. I recomnend a Sony 21inch aswell, accepts proper ntsc signal only on scart input one.

I was browsing through that unbeatable.co.uk site and I'm really interested in this Toshiba TV.

It looks really cool, and the specification looks impressive.

I was wondering if any of you have this TV or a similar one. The main reason I'll be using it is for US, JAP and PAL videogames (using RGB) and the odd film. Does this look like it would offer a good quality picture, becuase that's the most important thing to me!

                    Any advice will be appreciated!

Glad to hear it Gunstar a pal console such as the DC or GC output pal60, which will display in colour on 99% of pal tv's with any connection. The ps2 is the only console which displays it's 60hz option(in pal games)with a pure ntsc 3:58 video signal. If the scart input is fully wired then it will be RGB enabled so you are right as RGB has no colour region games will be in colour, but then not all ntsc consoles output RGB as standard(N64,GC for example)so then even with a fully wired scart input on the tv the image will still be in black and white, unless the tv is ntsc 3:58 compatible so i am mearly stating a tv with a scart input is not a guarantee of colour gaming via a ntsc console
