What the heck is this!? A virus?

On random web pages, I keep getting a magnifying glass scanning a piece of paper, on this site, other sites, all sites.

At seemingly random points, this little icon, that looks like a magnifying glass, circling a sheet of paper, will randomly pop up on screen, and wont go away. I fear I may have a keboard scanner virus.

WTF is it? what can I do? Should I be worried?

I have virus scanners, but theyre all old and out of date with no means of updating them.

Not seen that myself. You sure its not just your PC being incredibly slow?

Take a screenshot (print screen key, paste into image prog, save as jpeg)

Download and run Ad-Aware.

Sounds like a parasite to me - as Yashiro said, download AdAware and run that.

Installed the latest Norton version, I now feel safe behind dozens of firewalls.
