Sorry if this has been asked before but I didnt find anything about price matching. I just wanted to know if GAME still price match and do they price match items all over the UK or only locally? Thanks in advance.

They 'reserve the right' to refuse to price match if it's not in their interest to do so.
I've asked the Game stores in Preston to price-match when competitors have been doing excellent one-off deals...
Their answer: 'no, we can't match that price. Sorry'...and then walk away

btw it was less than 1 mile away from Game and definitely in stock at the time of asking.
I'm sure under their 'lowest price guarantee' pricetags (which is complete bull****, but that's a different matter entirely) it says 'conditions apply' or something similar. And one of these conditions is that they can refuse to price match if they don't want to.
It didn't bother me at all...I got my GC from another shop for ?80. I would have bought from Game if they had price-matched but they didn't. Their loss IMOComment

And ultimately (again) its up to the manager.
As well as that, it usually doesnt apply to sales or voucher items.

I remember when one store was closing down in Newcastle and they had an N64 and 4 games for ?30 and Game were still charging ?100 for the console i asked about price match and was refused.
I have not bought anything from Game since (apart from two packets of yu-gi-oh cards)Comment
