Ps2 Slide card and Swap Magic

Basically I have an original US version of Suikoden 3 that I have been triyng to get to work on my Ps2, But the swap magic 3 discs I bought don't seem to be working with original games when using my slide tool. I've managed to boot up a CDR backup of a game but thats no god, cos I only want to play the originals! Is there a problem with some kinds of games, or am I just doing it wrong?

I may be wrong but as far as I know, SwapMagic can't load DVD9 discs.

Suikoden 3 is a dual layered disc, which doesn't work with the Swap Magic method, so that might be your problem. There's a few dual layered games about, but i cant remember them. Xenosaga is one but that's all i can think of.

Doesn't the new version os swap disc load DVD9 discs?I don't now whic version I'm talking about, and I think it's about to be released.
Actually I'm quite interested in any info or videos of someone using the slide card cause from the descriptions it doesn't sound very safe, and easy.
I do need to play xenosaga, so it's that or I will have to get a cheap modded ps2, or us ps2
