Ps2 games, good and the bad

Hi all!

I just fixed my ps2 YAY!!!!!!!!

After not using it for maybe over a year I was wondering what good games are out to buy... fingers crossed I want mainly multiplayer ones.

So far I gonna get

Devil May Cry 2


What good multiplayer games are there 2 or 4 player ones.

Don't bother with Devil May Cry 2. It's utter ****, especially compared to the amazing prequel.

Don't. It's very bad.

Buy the original and practice until you can complete it on Hard mode.

It would help if you tell us what type of games you like. Are you able to play imports?

i completd DMC 1 twice best game i pld for ages felt as if the makers put their heart into it.

Was awesome.

I love games like that, rpg, action, multipler.

Nothing too slow though.

For action I recommend:

Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance
Prince of Persia: Sand of Time

Anyone else find it ironic that he asks for recommendations for good PS2 games, then lists his 2 wants as Manhunt and Devil May Cry 2

Burnout 2: Point of Impact
Final Fantasy X
Final Fantasy X-2 (playing through this now. Absolutely incredible. My favourite solo FF game since FF7)
Guilty Gear X2
Initial D: Special Stage (it should be PS2 law that you have to own this game )
Ridge Racer V
Soul Calibur 2
SSX3
Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution

Good list there Mr. C' apart from the FF games but that is just a personal dislike of RPG's.

You should also check out Psyvariar and Metal Slug 3 too.

I have FFX, I got it on day of relase and pld for about 4 hours and thought it was well crap compared to FF7 (which was my first FF game and I loved that so much) so I stoped playing.

I may give FFX-2 a try if its anything like FF7

FFX-2 is nothing like FF7. Still very, very good though

Very weak story though. I'm a huge fan of FFX (with a 180 hour save to testify the fact), so I love the story, but it's hardly a match for the perfection that FF6 embodies. The battle system, however, is the best yet. Bar none. Bit fast for me after FFX though
