Website not connecting to Smart FTP

Hey guys. Thanks for all the help you've given me lately

Next bit of trouble...

I bought the domain www.snipermonkey.co.uk and hosting for it last night at www.oneandone.co.uk

I was recomeneded by someone to download Smart FTP. So i have.

I've entered by account name and password, and the address, but it WILL NOT connect. And all I get is...

Connecting to (ftp.snipermonkey.co.uk) -> IP: 66.220.17.238 PORT: 21
A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.
Cannot login waiting to retry (30s)...
Continue to login attempt 6...

Any ideas whatsoever?

Its a shame, I come home 4 hours early, and I have nothing to do.

Could it just be it might take 24 hours to work?

Have you checked the FTP access stuff on oneandone, they have some very strange users names etc.

And yes I think you might have to wait 24 hrs in any case.

I had to wait for a couple of days for it all to start working with oneandone.
It's all been good though.

What did you use for your FTP server by the way dude? Just so I know I'm putting the right thing in.

www.net2ftp.com Anyone tried this? It's been recomended by someone, and seems to be easy to use.

I'm just using IE. Sometimes I use smartftp, but mainly just IE.
