    Can't enable Bitlocker

"An internal error has occurred within the Trusted Platform Module support program."

My windows 10 machine had bitlocker enabled.
I upgraded to Windows 11. Then decided to wipe the machine and start again (not the PC I was talking about the other day with Chrome issue). So I did the wipe all apps and data option and download from scratch from the cloud etc.

Now when I go to enable bitlocker on the OS drive, I get the error message above. The internet doesn't seem to be helping much.
    Any ideas?

P.S. no OEM junkware - vanilla windows.

OK, solved this myself by accident. Even though I hadn't changed any BIOS settings, I thought perhaps the motherboard had had a funny turn and changed something on its own. It hadn't, but as I was rummaging around in the TPM settings (all detected and enabled as expected), I noticed an option to do a "TPM Clear". This did the trick.

If anyone else finds this from search, after doing the clear, it rebooted a couple of times and then asked me to relogin to my MS Account and set the PIN again. I then tried to enable Bitlocker again and it worked fine, prompting for a reboot to begin the encryption process.

Next question - my old bitlockered windows used to ask for a password on a big blue screen before any loading of windows starts. This time, I wasn't even asked for a password and it just encrypted the drive. Is this still secure? A bit confused...

Yes it is, it should only throw up the blue screen and ask for the key if a change has been made to boot mode/hardware/driver etc.
