Mayflash F500 or F300 with Sanwa parts

Hi all,

Quick question as I'm finally getting around to sorting an arcade stick for my PS4 & Switch & on Amazon at the moment they have the Mayflash F500 for £90 or the Mayflash F300 with Sanwa upgrade for £95

Now is there any real reason I shouldn't pay the extra £5 for the upgraded F300?

Is the standard F500 still a better stick than the F300 despite the Sanwa upgrade?

The upgraded F500 is £125 which is more than I want to spend so I'm just curious if the upgraded F300 will do the job

So in short...

Standard F500 Vs F300 with Sanwa parts...which is bestest for the pennies

From what I can read there isn't really much difference between the two at all, the F500 is just more sturdy.

Of course none of that matters when your buttons are vastly inferior.

I have the F300 and it's decent. Only thing that bothers me is that to use on PS5 I have to insert a PS4 controller to it, but for everything else it's great. Iswapped out the buttons and stick with ease too.

That's a bit of a pain
I'm unlikely to be getting a PS5 any time soon so should be good
Glad to hear they are easy to mod though if I ever feel the need

Unless they’ve changed them since I bought my F500 Elite, you’ll need to connect a controller to use them with a PS4 too. You can buy the Magicboots usb dongle thing instead if you don’t want a controller plugged in
