Has anyone bought a decent sub-£100 Android tablet recently? Which one?

We have an exercise machine in the house, and I want an Android tablet to mount on it, just to run Netflix, Crunchyroll etc.

Has anyone here recently bought a cheap 10" Android tablet they can recommend for this?

I’d have thought the Amazon things are what you’re after. Amazon fire? Something like that

      How are those these days?

Last time I looked at them, they were great, but difficult to use if you wanted to consume media not made by Amazon.

I don't own one but here:

Summary: fine and inexpensive for watching Netflix etc. Not a substitute for a more expensive tablet for productivity and more advanced tasks.

I think I'm going to go with the Samsung Galaxy A8, as it's ~£150 and the reviews mention it has 4 speakers, which might make it more audible over the din of the exercise machine. Also, we have android phones and GoogleTV, so might be useful to stay within that ecosystem.

EDIT: Yep, the reviews say the audio is unusually loud, which is going to make a difference.

Yeah I would go for a Samsung over something with Amazon's forked Android, for sure. More flexibility should you want to use it differently in future also.

Here you go. I have two headwolf tablets that pack a good punch and can be bought from amazon.
