Using A US/UK HDD and US/UK Modem on the ps2

Hi,

I have a modded japanese ps2, i was wondering if i can use theUS/UK modem and US/UK HDD on it.

So i can play the US version of FFXI and the US version of RE Outbreak, if thats not possible. Can i just get the japanese modem and hard drive and use them on american and uk games online etc?

Hmm not 100% definate but I think FFXI is pay to play, and also I don't know if it would get along with a Visa or otherwise card from the UK

As far as i'm aware ps2 utility disk will not work on a modded machine unless the chip is disabled.
