Saving PSO games on A PS2

Ive never used my PS2 to play any original Playstation games before. but before I do I wanted to make sure I can save.

As far as I'm aware I need a PSO memory card to save games, but will any PSO card work (official - not third party crap) as I seem to remember seeing one advertised once where it stated it wouldnt run on a PS2.

Also, anyone know anyeher that still sells official PSO cards?

Psone cards work fine on a PS2.

Not sure about official ones but I have several Game own brand ones which work excellently on my PS2, never had a problem (and I am working my way through a large backlog of PSone RPGs).

They're ?5 a go I seem to recall....

GAME have the official ones for ?7.99 online. HMV also sell them but they are a bit expensive at ?12.99
