Anyone else have problems ordering on videogamesplus.com?

    As I have had my attempts to pick up a bargin copy of Beyond Good & Evil thwarted more than once. I get through the whole checkout process then as soon as I click on confirm, I get;

    Not Found
The requested URL /catalog/beanstreamerror.php was not found on this
    server.

I did everything they suggested in their F.A.Q to overcome such errors, and e-mailed Customer Services as well. Unfortunatly all they could suggest was deleting my cookies and clearing my cache, which still didn't help, and said that they were getting no such error.

Any help would be much appreciated, I was trying to order via Mastercard btw. [/b]

Well, with paypal I just ordered BG&E along with Arc the Lad - ToS and it was fine.

Perhaps it's just the credit card business that's down at the moment.

*Cheers for the BG&E tip though

I ordered with a Visa card on Thursday and had no problems at all. The game even arrived yesterday

I just ordered and experienced no problems. I suggest contacting them with the problem you are facing and see what they say.

Sounds like a problem with their server, when was the last time you tried?
What browser are you using? Try emptying it's cache or if you're on IE, "Temporary Internet Files". See if that helps?

I put in an order on Thursday, paying by credit card, and it arrived yesterday and today (splitting orders at no extra cost? I like...) I did have some problems initially, but it was down to a misconfigured web browser at my end.

Tried it again, same error at exactly the same point.

How was your web browser 'misconfigured' iapetus? At this point I'm eager for any info which might help me out.

Thanks to everyone who replied, unfortunatly I have already contacted their Customer Services and they seem as confused as I am. I've tried all the suggested actions such as deleting cookies, lowering security settings, and emptying my internet cache, but none help.

                I'm using I.E 6 btw.

Do not waste your time. BG&E is a terrible effort of a game.
It's also French, which is a bigger reason not to buy.

If you are determined to get it and IE is barfed, why not try another browser?

                  Mozilla - www.mozilla.org
                  Firebird - http://texturizer.net/firebird/download.html
                  Opera - www.opera.com

                    Please tell me you're kidding

One thing - the site is actually www.videogamesplus.ca although .com appears to work too, tried .ca?

I was connecting through a proxy, but didn't have the SSH proxy configured. Since most of the images and all of the checkout processing goes over SSH, that didn't help much...

                      Didn't get any beanstreamerrors, though.

The French comment was a gag, aye.

However, BG&E is utter tedium in my opinion.
