Ridge Racer Hi-Spec Question

Did the NTSC version of RR-HS (that came with Ridge Racer Type 4) have full races (12 cars per race) or was it limited to Time Attack and Time Trial modes like the PAL version?

I'm fairly certain both pal and ntsc versions were limited to time attack/time trial. Hmm, the Turbo Mode faq here implies otherwise:

I read somewhere that the Hi Spec demo was just a proof of concept, running the original game engine at 60fps in high res with a new rendering engine. Supposedly more than a couple of cars knackered the frame rate.

NTSC versions definately didn't have full races.
