Streetfighter 3 - diff between 3rd Strike & World Impact

Is there much? Enough to own both?

I believe W Impact has better stages. 3rd Strike has Remy, Q, Twelve, Chun Li & Gill (I think).

As Square says the new characters were added to Third Strike but there were the usual Capcom game tweaks made to Third Strike as you'd expect.

For example, in Third Strike it was possible to parry a move immediately after blocking another (termed Guard Parry). E.g. it is possible to block the first hit of Ryu's Shinkuu-Hadouken then immediately escape blockstun and parry the remaining 4 hits. The commands for Leap Attacks and Throws/Throw Escapes were also changed. Tends to be personal preference which you prefer.

Aesthetically speaking I think Third Strike just seems generally 'nicer' than W/Impact. Much prefer the soundtrack to TS, and the presentation screens and such seem more polished. However, I've been told that W/Impact is a more accurate conversion of the original arcade games than Third Strike (but TS is still pretty close to being perfect).

Personally I prefer playing Third Strike.

Oh and the W in W/Impact doesn't stand for world. The Japanese seem to use W to signify Double
