    Discharging power from a dreamcast

    im replacing a few parts in my DC over the weekend and was wondering whats the best way to discharge power from my DC so i dont get a shock when taking it aparts

    Switch it on and leave it on for a while without the power cord connected, couple of mins or so.

      The only "high" voltage stuff in the DC is the power supply, and the only things in there that might shock you are the smoothing capacitors, which you could short out with a screw driver or simply leave the machine on for a few secs without the power lead attached. Even then it's not going to kill you, unless you leave it plugged in. Or simply remove the PSU board.

      I have to say that if you're unsure about getting shocked when messing with a DC, should you be messing with it at all?
