Hmm how does this work. It all seems confusing. You pay a commission or something??? Anyone care to give a short simple description of how this all works?

On paper that rinkya service sounds fairly ****e too me. If I understand correctly, there is a $15 on every auction you win, no matter the price of the item. Then any postage costs have to be added ontop of that?!

            If thats correct, Screw that.

Yip that's right - it's not cheap. The main reason that people use this service is because not many Japanese will ship out of their country and certainly not to the despised West

The ones that openly DO ship outside Japan also have high prices, so it's gonna cost you either way

My word the costs! $20 flat rate commission. $10 postage within Japan. $5 bank fee, plus EMS postage to the UK (along with a 25% handling charge on this postage cost) on top. Suddenly that bargain isn't so much of a bargain.

Does anyone know of any firms that provide a similar service but might be a little cheaper?

Jeez even with the weak dollar those fees are high, talk about taking the piss.
Must be cool owning a business where you don't spend any outlay on anything whatsoever.

Reading that rinkya website, if the parcel is lost inside japan you lose all your money.
And if I was to win multiple items off a single seller I still have to pay each seperate fee for each item won.
That internal bidding stuff is open to abuse too.

Probably good for expensive items if you are prepared to take the gamble, I personally wouldnt take the risk.
Somethings not a bargain if it doesn't arrive.

                          Cool info though.
My search for those elusive bargains from japan still continues....
