      Quick warning regarding PS-X-Change...

When I used it a couple of years ago to play Chrono Cross on my PAL PSone, I couldn't get past the disc swap point, the PS-X-Change didn't support multi-disc games (e.g. FFVII). This may have changed with later releases of the disc.

In order to progress, I had to transfer my Chrono Cross save file to the PC and play past the halfway point on an emulator before switching back to the PSone (never was any good at disc-swapping)!!! Needless to say, this was a MAJOR hassle, and one you would do well to avoid!

Yes, it's very good. But I *think* there is a way around multi-disc games. But it's guaranteed to play virtually every import on a PAL machine.

Incidentally, I'm looking to sell mine. So PM me if you're interested :P.

There's a simple trick to swap games without a save option like Chrono Cross.

When the game asks for the second CD, take the spring, insert the boot CD and put the spring again in place. When the CD starts spinning let the PSX recognise the CD, now you must take the CD (while spinning) before the disc error, and insert the original.

The console will resume the reading and the second disc will boot.

I'm not sure if this is the right procedure with the PS-X-Change, but I assume it will work since I've done the same using a External Chip (the so called Game Hunters), a original PAL disc to boot, and a import game.
